Cross Country - Practise!

In Term 2 we had the Reremoana School Cross Country day. Mr Fourie have used those results to select eight year 7 and 8 boys and girls to have a team of 32 athletes. They will compete at the Central Counties Cross Country field day on the 22nd August at Totara Park.
After a two week holiday we were not ready to run in this tournament. We knew we had to raise our fitness levels firs. So Mr Fourie kindly agreed to a student request to train us to get to our top shape for this field day. We have training every Tuesday to Friday morning from 8:00 to 8:30 and believe us Mr Fourie comes prepared with a lot of interesting exercises. The first week of training was very hard because we were so unfit and had to shake of being  couch potatoes during the holidays, but when week two came around we started to return to out normal fitness. So thanks Mr Fourie for making us fitter for Cross Country. We are sure every athlete that made an effort to train will be a lot fitter and will do well. Good luck to all the athletes. Hopefully they will be selected for the Central Counties Cross Country team that will take part at the Counties Cross Country field day at the grueling Paparimu Cross Country Course.
