ORIENTEERING
On Thursday the 5th of May, a group of year six to eight students went to an orienteering field day at Totara Park. This was a great opportunity to practise and display both our map reading skills and running skills. Orienteering is an exciting activity where you get given a map and have to follow it to the 18 given points. At these points you have to punch a code onto your map. It is an individual and a team event.
This was a very challenging 3.25km course at a wet and slippery Totara Park. Some students found it tough, but they persevered to complete the course.
