Life Education

During week 1 and week 2 students from Room 5 has been visiting the life education van. On our first session Michelle taught us about making decisions and advertising. We broke up into groups and got given a product and we had to come up with an advertisement using strategies like pester power, music, slogans, repetition, humor and famous people.

During our second session we watched a video clip about a girl called Anna. Anna was a normal school girl who had some friends who tried to convince her to do the wrong things. She had to make choices, just like we have to do everyday. Unfortunately she made some wrong choices, but at the end she realized that she was doing the wrong things. Hopefully everyone has learned something from Anna. We used a “pull apart” torso called PAT. We took the body parts apart and put hem back again. We also learned about the functions of the different body parts. 

During our last session Harold the giraffe came out and said “Hello,” and we told him about what we learnt throughout our visits to the life education van. We really enjoyed our visits. “Thanks, Michelle.”

We got given a nice Life education book. We can do lots of tasks about making choices and our body at home.
